Heli-Fishing British Columbia
The Crescent Spur heli-fishing trip is built around access. Each morning, the helicopter opens up a huge range of remote rivers, streams and alpine lakes across the Northern Rockies and Cariboo Mountains. These waters see very little angling pressure, and many are completely inaccessible by road, giving you the chance to fish some of the wildest country in British Columbia.
The main target is bull trout, with wild rainbow trout also available in certain waters. Depending on conditions, you may fish crystal-clear freestone rivers, small mountain streams or high-alpine lakes, often exploring a different location each day. Streamers, nymphs and dry flies can all be effective, with excellent sight-fishing opportunities when the water is clear.
Guides and pilots select the day’s destination based on weather, water levels and where the fishing is strongest. Alpine lakes are typically fished from float tubes, while larger rivers and tributaries may be accessed by jet boat. The result is a varied four days of fishing, with the flexibility to move between fisheries and make the most of the conditions.
Lodging:
Crescent Spur Lodge is a 14,000-square-foot ranch-style private lodge and is the perfect base for adventure and accessing the incredible landscape and surrounding area. The lodge features 17 guest rooms and can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests at a time, with the option for both single and double-occupancy private rooms. The lodge features hand-hewn fir logs, a common lounge, full-service bar, sauna, hot tub, fireplaces, and everything you need for a high-end, relaxing stay.
Food & Drinks:
The lodge prides itself on delivering an exceptional culinary experience during each guest’s stay. A casual family-style breakfast is served each morning with a variety of healthy and hearty options. Lunch will typically be packed along picnic style by your guides each day during your daily adventures. After your day on the water, drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served as you unwind from your day in the wilderness. Dinner is served in plated service each evening in the communal dining room featuring sustainable meats, seafoods, fresh produce, sides, and delicious desserts.
Located in the Robson Valley of northern British Columbia, Crescent Spur sits near McBride, approximately two hours east of Prince George. Surrounded by the Northern Rocky Mountains and Cariboo Mountains, the area is defined by remote river valleys, alpine lakes and vast stretches of wilderness along the upper Fraser River. How to get there:
Fly into Prince George Airport in British Columbia. The majority of flights will fly via Vancouver International Airport.

Day 1:
Arrive in Prince George, British Columbia – Transfer to the lodge.
Day 2 – 5:
Four full days guided heli-fishing in the BC backcountry.
Day 6:
Depart Prince George and return home.

Personalized guiding with a ratio of 2 guests to 1 guide. Maximum of 8 guests.
