About Bucket List Fishing Trips
Bucket List Fishing Trips was built on a simple idea: to help anglers tick off the world’s most iconic fish species and fishing destinations. What started as a passion for exploring remote fisheries has grown into a global platform connecting anglers with some of the most sought-after species and locations on the planet, making it easier than ever to turn a fishing bucket list into reality. From the raw power of nile perch in Africa’s rivers to sight-fishing roosterfish along remote coastlines, every experience we offer is carefully selected, personally vetted, and designed to deliver something far beyond a standard fishing trip.
We do not operate as a marketplace. We operate as a curator. Every destination, lodge, and guide within our portfolio is chosen based on three criteria: world-class fishing, operational excellence, and overall experience. If it does not meet that standard, it does not make the list.
Our network spans some of the most remote and sought-after fisheries across Africa, South America, North America, Europe, and beyond. Many of these experiences are difficult to access without local knowledge and trusted partnerships. That is where we come in. We handle everything. From initial planning and destination selection to logistics, travel coordination, and on-the-ground execution, our role is to ensure that every trip runs seamlessly from start to finish.
For our clients, this means less time researching and more time focused on what matters: the experience. For our partners, it means access to a global audience of serious anglers who are actively seeking bucket list destinations. This is not mass tourism. This is precision travel for anglers.
We work with individuals, small groups, and corporate clients who value quality, authenticity, and access. Whether it is a once-in-a-lifetime expedition or part of a long-term fishing journey, our goal is to deliver experiences that stand out not just for the fishing, but for everything around it. Because the best trips are not just measured by the fish that are caught, but by the places explored, the people met, and the stories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
Conservation
The future of fishing depends on the health of the fisheries we operate in. Without strong ecosystems, responsible management, and local stewardship, the very experiences we offer would not exist. Conservation is not an add-on. It is a requirement.
We prioritise working with lodges, guides, and operators who share a commitment to sustainable practices. This includes catch-and-release policies where appropriate, responsible handling of fish, and support for local conservation initiatives that protect habitats and fish populations.
Many of the destinations we work with operate in remote environments where conservation is closely tied to local communities. By supporting these operations, our trips contribute directly to job creation, economic development, and long-term incentives to protect these ecosystems.
In many places, fishing is designated as catch-and-release only, helping preserve populations of rare and unique species for future generations. Across South America, Africa, and beyond, these models are proving that high-value, low-impact tourism can play a critical role in conservation.
We believe that anglers are some of the strongest advocates for protecting wild places. When done responsibly, fishing creates a direct connection between people and the environments they depend on.
Our role is to support that relationship by promoting destinations and operators who are doing it the right way.
Because protecting these fisheries is not just about today. It is about ensuring that the next generation of anglers has the opportunity to experience them in the same, or better, condition than we do now.
