Nile Perch Fishing at Murchison Falls

Trip Overview ➜

  • Travel into the heart of Uganda’s Murchison Falls National Park for an extraordinary fishing adventure on the Victoria Nile. Beneath the falls, the river surges through a narrow gorge before opening into deep channels, turbulent pools and powerful current seams that provide ideal habitat for giant nile perch.
  • Nile perch are Africa’s largest freshwater fish and among the largest freshwater fish on Earth, capable of reaching 2 metres in length and exceeding 100 kilograms. These heavily built predators possess tremendous power, using the Nile’s strong current and deep channels to make long, powerful runs once hooked. Fish of this size are exceptionally rare, but the protected waters within the national park are renowned for its large population of trophy fish.
  • This seven-day adventure includes six nights at a comfortable tented safari lodge overlooking the Nile and five guided fishing days. Return charter flights from Entebbe, local transfers, meals, fishing permits, park fees, boats, tackle and equipment.
