Anglers can fish 24 hours a day, with boats equipped with modern electronics and comfortable seating. Hawk Lake is located in northwestern Ontario, Canada, in the heart of the Kenora District, just south of Highway 17 between the towns of Dryden and Kenora. It’s situated in the Sunset Country region, known for its countless lakes, rugged Canadian Shield terrain, and outstanding freshwater fishing. The lodge is drive-to accessible, eliminating the need for floatplane travel while still offering the seclusion and wilderness experience typical of remote northern lodges.
How to get there:
Transportation from Kenora, Ontario, International Falls Minnesota and Winnipeg, Manitoba airports is available via rental car or shuttle service or for those anxious to get on the water float plane charters are available from either city to land right at our dock. Additionally, private air charters can fly directly into Kenora, only twenty-five minuets from The Lodge.
Day 1 – Arrival & Orientation
Arrive in Kenora, International Falls, or Winnipeg. Transfer to Hawk Lake Lodge via rental car, shuttle, or floatplane. Check into your private cabin and relax in your hot tub or on the deck. Enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation with lodge staff. Optional evening cocktail hour (5–6 p.m.) in the main lodge.
Day 2 – Full Day of Fishing
Hearty breakfast at the lodge. Spend the day fishing on one of the 19 private lakes, targeting trophy walleye, smallmouth bass, pike, or lake trout. If desired, you can opt to fish with a guide for the day to maximize your chances of catching trophy fish. Return to the lodge for dinner and evening social hour.
Day 3 – Full Day of Fishing
Breakfast and another full day of fishing. Explore different lake systems, target different species, or revisit your favorite spots. Shore lunch options are available or return to the lodge for lunch. Enjoy a relaxing evening with a gourmet meal and optional cocktail hour.
Day 4 – Full Day of Fishing
Early breakfast and a full day on the water. Focus on targeting specific trophy fish or continue exploring new areas. If you wish, you can fish with a guide for expert insight. Return to the lodge for your evening meal and final social hour.
Day 5 – Full Day of Fishing
After breakfast, head out for your final full day of fishing. Take one last opportunity to fish your favorite lake or try a new spot. Enjoy your final shore lunch or lodge meal. Return to the lodge for your farewell dinner and cocktail hour.
Day 6 – Departure
Breakfast at the lodge. Transfer back to your departure city. Optional floatplane departure from the lodge dock.
