Bucket List Fishing Trips - Frequently Asked Questions:

Why book with Bucket List Fishing Trips?

Bucket List Fishing Trips crafts the world’s best angling adventures, with packages designed to put you in the right waters at the perfect time for your dream catch. Through exclusive partnerships with top lodges and seasoned guides, we secure the best value and ensure every trip delivers world-class fishing, seamless logistics, and authentic local flavor. From record-class trophies to unforgettable wildlife encounters, our journeys are crafted to provide once-in-a-lifetime memories with complete peace of mind. Ask our expert team for honest advice and let us help you choose the fishing destination that’s truly right for you.

For the best experience, it’s smart to book your fishing trip at least 6 to 12 months in advance, especially if you’re aiming for peak seasons or the most popular destinations. Prime dates for species like tarpon, dorado, or tuna often sell out quickly, and early booking gives you more choice of lodges, guides, and travel arrangements. That said, last-minute trips are sometimes possible, but availability will be limited and flights or accommodations may be more expensive. View our Trip Calendar for peak dates.

The majority of our bucket list fishing trips include local travel & transfers, accommodation, meals, drinks, expert guided fishing and top-quality equipment. Some destinations will require guests to bring their own tackle or have an option to rent tackle on-site. International flights are not included but we will provide recommendations on the best flights & routes. The majority of our fishing lodges are all-inclusive.

Most of our guides are outfitted with the highest quality tackle. However, anglers are welcome to travel with and use their own tackle, and we will gladly advise on tackle we recommend. Most locations will also have additional tackle available to rent on-site.

Each trip is different. We will send over a complete packing list pre-trip to ensure you are well equipped for which ever destination you find yourself travelling to. Basic packing list

We recommend using Global Rescue should unforeseen circumstances arise. They are the world leaders in providing rescue and evacuation services in the unlikely case of injury, sickness or natural disaster.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is due at the time of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. For cancellations, all deposits and payments are non-refundable unless a client replacement is found. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. We cannot refund payments in the event of a hurricane or poor weather. No refund can be made for unused arrangements or fishing time lost due to inclement weather.  Once again, we strongly recommend that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance in case.

Unless otherwise noted on your invoice, for all trips less than 90 days out, full payment is required after receipt of the confirmation email to secure guides and reservations. For trips outside of 90 days, a 50% deposit is required upon receipt of confirmation email to confirm your reservations. We accept electronic payments globally via ACH, Wire Transfer, Interac e-Transfer, EFT, and Wise. Credit & debit cards are also accepted but subject to a 4% card processing fee.
