The Northwest Pacific coastline of Colombia is home to some of the finest fishing in the world. From March to June, anglers have the chance to witness the spectacular sardine migrations, attracting species like Pacific Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Cuberra Snapper, Amberjack, Tarpon, Roosterfish and more. This time of year is an inshore anglers dream as bait-balls are pushed to the surface and techniques such as fly fishing, popping, and jigging, live baiting and trolling are all possible.
During the inshore season, Whale Sharks, Whales and Dolphins often feed in close proximity to the boat, adding to the experience.
For offshore enthusiasts, trolling offshore can be just as rewarding. Just a few miles from shore, the waters teem with pelagic species such as Blue and Black Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi’s, and Tuna, providing an unforgettable backdrop where jungle meets the Ocean. The months of October, November, December, and January are particularly popular for offshore fishing, as sea currents attract a plethora of prized species.
Boats & Equipment:
Anglers fish off a 38-foot sportfishing Bertram, fully equipped with a live well, tuna tubes, and trolling equipment. The boat with twin cummings diesel inboard is loaded with first-class trolling Shimano gear and casting and jigging gear. The boat has a top GPS system, a cabin with full A/C, a bathroom, a kitchen, and rooms with single beds for a nice rest right on the Pacific Ocean.
Lodging:
Anglers will spend the first and last nights at a hotel in Medellin. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the best restaurants, cafes, and bars in the city. Medellin is the second-largest city in Colombia and one of the most developed cities for tourism in Latin America.
From Medellin anglers will transfer to the eco-lodge. Accommodation at the eco-lodge is truly out of this world. Nestled in the heart of the jungle with ocean-front views, it provides the perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Featuring seven ocean-front rooms with private bathrooms, a cozy social area, and a private beach, the lodge ensures a memorable stay.
Food & Drinks:
Three meals a day, unlimited snacks, soft drinks and beers are served all week.
Dinners feature a variety of delicious regional dishes, expect plenty seafood and fresh sashimi.
Bahía Solano is located in the Chocó region of Colombia. The Lodge is just a 10-minute boat ride away from the tourist dock of Bahía Solano, which is a 30-minute flight from Medellin.
How to get there:
Direct flights are available to Medellin from several international airports. Upon arrival in Colombia a rep will be on hand to pick you up at the airport and drive to the hotel. Anglers will take the short 30-min flight to Bahía Solano the following day.

A valid passport is required to enter Colombia. We will inform you what is needed based on your nationality.

5 Days Fishing
Day 1:
Anglers fly into Medellin, where you will be greeted by a representative and transported to the hotel.

Day 2:
Short 30-minute flight from Medellin to Bahia Solano.
10-minute boat ride from the dock at Bahia Solano to the private beach where the property is located.
Head out for the first afternoon of fishing.
Day 3 – 6:
Four full fishing days aboard the Betram Yacht.
Breakfast is had at the lodge around 6:00am before heading out for a day of fishing.
Lunch is had onboard the boat before returning back to the lodge around 5:30pm for drinks and dinner.
Day 7:
Flight from Bahia Solano back to Medellin. Depart Colombia or overnight in Medellin for an extra night.
