Southern Poland is home to some of the most beautiful rivers in Europe and produces trophy Brown Trout, Barbel and Grayling on a consistent basis. Many of these rivers are strictly catch-and-release, barbless, fly-fishing only watersheds adding to the quality of the fishery and it is not uncommon to catch high numbers of fish per day.
The Queen of the River is undoubtedly the Huchen or Danube Salmon, and the cherry on the cake for anyone lucky enough to hook up to one of the largest salmonid species in the world. These fish generally start feeding more aggressively as the water starts cooling down in the Fall/Autumn and into the early Winter months.
Guides & Equipment:
The guides are some of the best in Europe and are expert fly-tyers with a wealth of experience. They know the patterns that perform best on the various rivers and will be on hand to assist in helping you tie your own flies at the lodge in the evenings.
Guests can also buy equipment, flies and materials in our newly created fly fishing shop.
Lodging:
The Fisherman’s Lodge is a place for fishing enthusiasts and has been hosting fly-fishermen from around the world for many years. Your hosts know how important it is to relax after a day of fishing and that is offer a high standard of accomodation.
The lodge is located in Krościenko nad Dunajcem. A short drive to the river that’s considered to be the best fly fishing river in Poland.

How to get there:
Poland is extremely convenient with multiple flights from almost all airports in Europe.
Fly into Krakow International Airport (KRK).
Guides will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge near the Dunajec River on the border of Slovakia.
The drive is approximately 1hr45min.
Documents Required:
A valid passport is required. Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and other Western European nations do not need a visa for tourist trips of up to ninety days.
